France has 1.16 million cinema chairs
With its 6,298 screens, 2,061 establishments and 1.16 million armchairs, France has one of the most beautiful cinema parks in the world. A very diverse range of theaters since 54.7% of the theaters are mono-screen (1128 cinemas) while 12% are multiplexes numbering 247.
The CNC study analyzes the figures by regions, departments and municipalities to highlight the particularities and diversity of mining. For example, Paris and its 400 screens, its 68,663 armchairs with the 6th arrondissement which has 49 screens and 7,528 armchairs, compared to Lyon which has only 99 screens. Coincidence or not, the city with the highest density of armchairs per inhabitant is Cannes (1 armchair for every 13 inhabitants), while the weakest city is Aubervilliers with 1 armchair for every 766 inhabitants.

The Île de France is the first in attendance with 38.17 million admissions in 2022
The New Aquitaine comes at the top of the cheapest place at 6.66 euros
The PACA has the highest place price at 7.85 euros.
