Microsoft accessories: the Sculpt keyboard, and others, are back

In the spring of last year, Microsoft announced the cessation of production of its keyboards, mice and other PC accessories in order to focus on Surface products.

Although the company is best known to consumers for its Windows and Xbox products, Microsoft’s computer peripherals still had a few dedicated fans, especially for its ergonomic keyboards – fans who were no doubt appalled at the thought of losing their favorite keyboard or mouse.

But it seems that these fans are in luck, because Microsoft’s products will now endure – under another name.

This is the first time that Incase manufactures computer accessories

Incase, a company known mainly for its protective bags, cases and pouches, will resume production of some of Microsoft’s best-selling products, such as the Sculpt ergonomic keyboard, the Modern Mobile mouse, the Wireless Desktop 850 mouse and the Modern Webcam. These products will have a hybrid name, namely “Incase Designed by Microsoft”.

This is the first time that Incase manufactures computer accessories.

In addition to keeping the fan-favorite products, the company has also announced its intention to design new products under the same name. Twenty-three products will be retained, including the Sculpt keyboard and mouse, the Wireless Comfort keyboard and mouse, the Modern mobile headset and the Modern webcam.

The exact price has not been announced

The license agreement covers not only the names of the products, but also their manufacturing components, which means that they should remain unchanged compared to their previous versions.

The exact price has not been announced, but in a press release about the partnership, Marshall Clark, managing director of Onward (the company that owns Incase), said that the transition of the product portfolio would begin immediately and that consumers should find their favorite products on the shelves as early as the second quarter of 2024.
