Since the meteoric rise of Zoom with the rise of teleworking during the Covid-19 pandemic, generative AI has taken up space. Based on this observation, Zoom has been thinking about ways to incorporate this technology into its platform. And his latest attempt is called Zoom Docs.
Microsoft Word Zoom version
Zoom Docs is a text editor and a collaborative workspace supported by AI, closely integrated with Zoom, which offers its users a space to create and collaborate on projects.
It is nothing more or less than the Zoom version of the classic Microsoft Word or Google Docs. And like them, Zooms Docs offers several features: text editing and layout, the ability to insert tables and graphs, etc.
Its major difference is its integration with Zoom, which allows its users to use AI Companion for various tasks, such as adding content from Zoom Meetings or team chat messages to the document.
Zoom’s AI Companion can also contribute to the document editing process by modifying its tone, summarizing its content, brainstorming or generating more text, in particular.
Planned launch in 2024
Since Zoom Doc is integrated with Zoom, it is easier to access it than using a third-party application, which would involve sharing your screen and then switching to different screens at the same time. It is available throughout the Zoom workspace, the company specifies.
To promote a collaborative work environment, Zoom Docs also allows you to assign tasks, mention colleagues, add comments, etc.
Zoom Docs is not yet available. Its launch is scheduled for 2024, Zoom announced.
